Lisa Marie Presley
To Whom it May Concern

The album that began its creation 35 years ago is finally here from the King of Rock's very own daughter. April 8th celebrated the appropriately-titled To Whom It May Concern, an album that points a finger at the people who have made the greatest impact on Lisa Marie Presley's rather colorful life.

"Lights Out" is the first single, and probably the best thing here, where Presley sings about her unforgettable roots buried deep in Memphis. Sample lyric: You were a million miles behind/And I was crying every time I'd leave you/Then I didn't want to see you/I still keep my watch two hours behind. The watch bit refers to Presley's ritual of keeping Memphis time with her. "Nobody Noticed It" is another ode to Elvis, where she seems to shift the blame of her father's death on his heavily drug-induced associates. She wrote this song after seeing those people on "E! True Hollywood Story: The Last Days of Elvis."

Presley doesn't bother leaving anyone out of her album's weak playlist. "Sinking In" is about Presley's first husband Danny Keough, also the father of Presley's two children. This track gives a reference to Jackson, who caused the split (Was it that I left for another man). "So Lovely" is a track expressing Presley's number one passion: her two children. This track is easy competition for "Lights Out" as the best work here. This track proves that sometimes even a rock icon can be more enjoyable when they're not pissed off at the world. The vibe changes with "Gone," a bitter spit at ex-husband Nicolas Cage. Great sample rage: Well, here's to my darling leave/You're stubborn and you're free and of course, right/I don't respect the way you leave/You can be no friend to me.

While could be considered good in the respect that the musician had no professional consultation it seems to fit the cliche too much, too soon. The candid speak about Presley's desireless life is annoying, accompanied by an overall lack of listenability, makes To Whom It May Concern a total bore.
